Live Paths Jaljulia is a virtual event in which we meet Raed Abo Raya, a local resident of Jaljulia and a guide at “Shared Paths.”
Raed will introduce us to the people and sites of Jaljulia, will broadcast the call for prayer from one of the prettiest mosques in Israel, and will hold a Q&A session.
As part of the event, we will also watch a short video – “The Face of Jaljulia” – in which we will meet a few of the residents and sites that make up the town of Jaljulia.

Jaljulia, ג’לג’וליה, جلجولية, is a local council located in the center of Israel, 26 km northeast of Tel Aviv with a population of approximately 10,000 Muslim citizens. Jaljulia is one of the oldest and most interesting localities in Israel with relics dating back to the Bronze Age. Jaljulia used to be one of the biggest and most important cities along the “Via Maris” “The road of the sea” – a road that connected Egypt and Turkey during the Mamluk Sultanate.
